Dear Parents,
In view of the prevailing severe cold wave conditions in the region and as per the directions issued by the Chandigarh Administration, the school timings shall remain regulated up to 10 January, 2026.
The details for online classes on 8th & 9th Jan, 2026 are as follows:
Classes Nursery to 9 & 11 :
* There will be no physical classes for these classes.
* Online classes will be conducted for these classes from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
* A time - table will be shared by respective class teachers.
* Parents are requested to ensure their ward attends online classes regularly as per the timetable with the camera on .
* IDs to be created with the student`s admission number on Google Meet.
For Board Classes
Class 10th will have regular classes on 8th & 9th Jan, 2026. Timings: 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Class XII: Mock tests in the school. Timings: 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
* Parents are requested to cooperate with the school and prioritize the health and safety of their children during this period of extreme weather.
* Any further updates will be shared through official school communication channels.

Reminder Notice Regarding RTE Amendment related to Detention Policy for Classes 5 & 8 students
Dear Parents
As per the amendment to the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009, notified in the Gazette of India on December 21, 2024, certain changes were made regarding student assessments and promotion in classes 5 and 8 in 2025 (Part V A- Examination and Holding Back in certain cases).
Key points of the notification:
1. Regular Examinations: Students of classes 5 and 8 will have to appear for regular examinations.
2. Re-Examination: After the conduct of regular examination, referred in sub-rule (i): If a child fails to meet the promotion criteria, they will be given an opportunity for a re-examination within two months of the result declaration.
3. Holding Back: If the child fails in the re-examination as well, he will be held back in class 5 or 8, as the case may be. Only one attempt will be given.
4. Support & Remedial Measures: Teachers and school authorities will provide necessary support and remedial sessions to help students overcome their learning gaps.
5. Competency-Based Assessment: The examination and re-examination will focus on competency-based evaluation rather than rote learning.
We urge all parents to encourage their children to prepare diligently for their assessments. The school will continue to provide necessary academic support to ensure every child’s holistic development.

Dear Parents
The National Assessment Centre, PARAKH,NCERT will be conducting Foundational Learning Study (FLS) 2026 to assess FLN Competencies of students at the end of Grade 3 on 9th & 10th March, 2026.Our school has been selected for this prestigious survey.
The parents of the students studying in class 3 are requested to ensure that their wards attend the school and are not absent on 9 & 10 March, 2026 for the Parakh exam. It is mandatory as per the directions given by the Education Department and SCERT, Chandigarh.
One section (12 Students) will be selected for sampling which will be done on 9th March, 2026 by officials. The test is for 90 mts. The children will be tested in 3 subjects- Lang 2, Math & The World Around Us. They will be helped to fill a pupil questionnaire (PQ) also.
There is a possibility that the dispersal for sampled students may get delayed on December 9th & 10th March, 2026. We shall then request you to pick up your child from the school. We shall keep you posted.

Subject: Collection of Dry Leaves and Prevention of Burning
As per the instructions issued by the Department of Environment, Chandigarh Administration, all are directed to take necessary steps to prevent the burning of dry leaves and other waste material.
In this regard, all parents and students are informed that burning of dry leaves is strictly prohibited in the city. Remember, burning leaves causes air pollution and releases harmful chemicals into the environment, which may lead to various health problems and diseases.
Therefore, the following instructions should be followed:
1. All dry leaves falling in the neighbourhood must be collected properly instead of burning them.
2. One can create a compost pit to collect the dry leaves and then use them for preparing compost manure (khaad) which can be used for plants and gardening.
3. Kindly inform your sector/colony gardeners and cleaning staff that they must ensure that no dry leaves are burnt anywhere in the locality.
4. Let us take a pledge to recycle organic waste. This initiative will help in keepin
g our environment clean, reducing pollution, and promoting eco-friendly practices within the city.

the issue of heavy school bags, it has been observed that many children are carrying bags that are
unnecessarily heavy, which may affect their health and posture.
In order to ensure the comfort and well-being of our students, you are kindly requested to follow the

1. Please send your child with a simple, lightweight canvas school bag. Avoid heavy, bulky, or
multi-compartment bags especially strolley bags.
