ATTENDANCE / LEAVE
Any student who willfully or otherwise absents himself from school and/or online classes without intimation or leave application duly sanctioned by the Principal for more than two weeks, will be considered as not interested to continue in the school and his/her name will be struck off from the rolls without further notice. Readmission will be done in case of availability of seat and after paying admission charges, as applicable and all due fees and fines.
The parents are requested to kindly:
· Check their child/children`s diary everyday and ensure that they bring the books to school according to the class time table.
· Meet the Principal on any working day between 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon or with a prior appointment.
· Maintain contact with the school through correspondence and Parents Teacher Meetings. Parents are not allowed to visit the classroom or contact the teachers except on the prescribed hours and days.
· Not give their child large sum of cash or any valuables.
· Not allow their child to bring a Scooter / Motorcycle / Car. We do not approve of children coming to school by van/rickshaw/auto-rickshaw as advised by STA.
· Mark the name, class and section of their child on all belongings.
· Ensure that the children bring their fruit and lunch tiffins in the morning. In the interest of security, tiffins / lunch packets brought later will not be accepted.
· Notify the school immediately about any change in personal address or telephone number.
· Not send requests through servants or relatives to allow children to go home before the school gets over.
· Send leave application if their child is absent.One can apply online also.
· Not offer any kind of gifts on any festive occasion to the Principal, teachers and other staff.
· Avoid taking half - day leave for their child. In case the child is sick not send him/her to school.
· Send a written application a day in advance or make a phone call at least an hour before the school ends if somebody other than parents is coming to pick up the child.
· Not give mobile phone to their child.
· Attend PTMs regularly.
· To send specific meditation specifically inhaler/puff to the school in case the child uses it. Also, keep the class teacher posted about any illness of the child that requires frequent monitoring in the school.

SCHOOL TRANSPORT GUIDELINES
· The school is not responsible for providing transport facilities. There are however two private contactors plying buses which are run on pre-designated routes as fixed by the private contractors. The school runs one route in the morning and two sets of route in the afternoon for junior students and senior students.
· The students can avail the school transport subject to the availability of seats. Under no circumstances will the bus routes be altered to suit individual convenience.
· The students using the bus facility are required to follow the instructions of their bus incharge.
· The students using the bus facility are required to maintain discipline in the bus. In case of indiscipline by a student in the bus, the services may be withdrawn.
· The students are allowed to board / unboard the school bus only at his / her regular stop.
· The students are not allowed to come in self - driven vehicles.
· The students are not permitted to travel by any other bus except the one allotted to them.
· Attendance of all bus users shall be taken twice every day. Once in the morning and then in the afternoon.
· The parents of the students are not allowed to travel on the bus under any circumstances.
· As per the notice from STA, Private Vans and Auto-rickshaw will not be allowed. It is mandatory for the parents to either drop and pick up the child personally or use the school contracted bus.
· Buses belong to the Bus Contractors. The bus transport fee has to be paid to the bus contractors only. One month advance notice has to be given for dicontinuation of the bus service. Bimonthly bus fee has to be paid for the months of December & January, and February & March by 10th of December and Februray respectively, failing which the bus service will not be provided in the next academic session.
· For any assistance/information related to the school transport system, kindly contact the School Transport Manager/ Bus contractors. The school simply facilitates the services.

The students are ordinarily admitted only in the beginning of the academic year. No admission is made until the child has passed a test in general aptitude for the essential class subjects for Classes IX and X. The students selected for admission are required to produce school leaving certificate from the school that they have attended last and an authentic birth certificate along with two photographs of the child.
· A two months written notice is to be given before the withdrawal of a student, during the session as well as at the end of the session. The security will not be refunded if the above mentioned rule is not observed and it will lapse after 6 months, if not claimed.
· The school leaving certificate (SLC) will be issued once all dues are settled.

CLASSES NURSERY TO V
1.The academic session is divided into two terms. The students of classes Nursery to V will be asssessed on the parameters given in the NCF 2022 and HPC.
2. Learning in these classes is an ongoing and wholesome process. It will be assessed in a continuous comprehensive manner. The focus will be on the daily, consistent progress made by the child in academic as well as co-curricular activities.
3. The assessment procedure will be based on the child’s daily interaction in the class, his/her level of general awareness, the quality of work produced by him/her, internalization of the concepts taught during the course of classroom interaction and the consequent learning outcomes throughout the year.
Note: Progress Profile Card of the students of classes Nursery to V will be sent online after each term. In case, a student’s progress is not upto the expected standards, it will be discussed with the parents on a one to one basis.

CLASSES XI and XII
Class XI
Languages : English Core, Punjabi
Academic Electives : Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Business Studies, Accountancy, Physical Education, Legal Studies (New), Psychology, Sociology, History, Political Science, Painting
There will be two Unit Tests of each subject during the academic year. Besides this there will be two formal term examinations in September and February/March.

Rules for Change of Subject:
(i) Change of subject(s) in class XI may be allowed by the Head of the School but not later than 15 July of that academic session.
(ii) No candidate shall be permitted to change his/her subject of study after passing Class XI.
(iii) The candidate shall not be offered a subject in Class XII which he/she has not studied and passed in class XI.
Promotion Norms for Class XI
Class XII
There will be ONE Unit Test of each subject in the month of May during the academic year. Besides this, two formal examinations will be conducted in the month of September and December/January based on the CBSE examination pattern. The students will appear for the AISSCE conducted by the CBSE in the month of February/March.
Note: Progress Profile Card of the students of classes IX to XII will be sent online after each term. In case, a student’s performance is not upto the expected standards, it will be discussed with the parent on a one to one basis.
CLASSES NURSERY - XII
Attendance requirement:
All students are required to complete minimum 75% of attendance to make him/her eligible to take the examination.
Scheme of Examinations and Pass Criteria
Senior School Certificate Examination: XII
(i) The Board conducts examination in all subjects except General Studies, Work Experience, Physical and Health Education, which will be assessed internally by the school.
(ii) In all subjects examined by the Board, a student will be given one paper each carrying either 70 or 80 marks for 3 hours 15 mins depending on the subjects opted by the child. However, in subjects requiring practical examination, there will be a theory paper and practical examinations as mentioned in the syllabi.
(iii) In Work Experience, General Studies and Physical and Health Education, the School will maintain cumulative records of student’s periodical achievements and progress during the year.
(iv) In order to be declared as having passed the examination, a candidate shall obtain a grade higher than E (i.e. at least 33% marks) in all the five subjects of external examination in the main or at the end of the compartmental examination. The pass marks in each subject of external examination shall be 33%. In case of a subject involving practical work a candidate must obtain 33% marks in theory and 33% marks in practical or orals separately in addition to 33% marks in aggregate in order to qualify in that subject.
